Losing loads of weight

Hey why not transition the blog to things completely unrelated to quitting pornography? I’m… running out of things to say about quitting porn… just don’t do it mmkay… 👉👈🥹

History

For about five years now I have been overweight. I remember peaking at 83kg was a big deal to me at the time, like holy crap wow that is the fattest I have ever been. And then before I knew it in that time, I peaked at 92kg. Very close to being obese for me.

Being thin vs going to the gym

Everyone always says ‘oh no bro, you can’t lose all that weight by fasting and eating very little’. They say you have to optimise your life, go to the gym all the time.

I’d argue that losing weight as an overweight person (especially if you’re close to obese) is FAR better for your physique than gaining muscle. It’s not even close, much faster results especially on the face if your face is coated in fat.

You can have your cake and eat it, but screw all this noise about having to go to the gym gym gym. Being overweight or obese is associated with loads of health problems, and it’s effectively a silent killer. I really don’t hear any horror stories from people not going to the gym enough. Yes maybe if you are very physically inactive sure, but definitely not from going to the gym.

Noooo bro you can’t do that you have to go to the gym or something

Look I get it, but honestly I just want to give the middle finger to the weight loss process and show that I can lose a whole load of weight and keep it off.

I want to go to the gym. But I have tried to lose weight 3-4 times in the past five years. Sometimes I lose a lot of weight, but I always got stuck at 82kg. And then I’d inevitably relapse on porn and other bad habits and start buying pizza every day. Seriously I am a takeout monster if I want to be, I can spend all of my income on junk food and nothing else (ok vaping isn’t exactly cheap)

No more. We’re pushing through the 82kg hard limit. I’m going to see what my body looks like at a very healthy weight, not just slipping into a healthy BMI and calling it a day. I have already lost 10kg, and plan to lose 10-15 more kg, and chill out at 65kg or something. I just wanna see and feel what it’s like.

Because it’s fun. Then I’ll inevitably bulk up over a long period of time to a healthy weight, while of course remaining in a healthy BMI. I’m just about to exit the overweight BMI I have been trapped in for five years. It’s all really exciting stuff, to be honest. And I do already look loads better.

Body confidence

You might have been fat or had an unattractive body for longer than you can remember, it’s been so long and you totally have no idea what it’s like to have a good physique. Maybe you’re ‘not someone who has a good physique’ in your mind at this point.

But like, everywhere you walk it’s like if a healthy lean person put a 20kg weight (or larger) in their backpack. That affects your quality of life!! All the time!! When you try to sleep and curl up in bed your stomach fat slodges around making you feel bad and probably your partner too!! Your genitals don’t work as well!!

This translates to all of your interactions with people. They read you as less confident, and less valuable just because you’re fat. And you feel it too. It sucks.

How to lose weight

Fucking go for it. Don’t eat some days, eat half or less the calories some other days. Get physically active, do really long walks. If someone says ‘you should eat’ then don’t just agree with them. You might have to be socially unacceptable at times, but you really want this, right?

This will make you feel better, faster, than building muscle if you are overweight. If you are well into healthy BMI and don’t have a fat problem then of course ignore my advice :)

tl;dr try losing some weight!
